Inside, the pared back white-on-white décor offset with hints of blue and natural woods is the perfect foil for the traditional Swahili architectural styling – albeit with a modern twist. White stucco walls are studded with the delicately rendered Swahili niches. Characterful lobby furniture and artifacts provide an eclectic accent.

This effortless style pervades the whole villa, from the light-filled open plan seating and dining areas to the generously proportioned bedroom suites. Central to The Kasbah is the large pool where the clear blue water echoes the cloudless blue of the sky above. Looking onto the pool, a spacious lobby offers a cool respite from the African sun.
